The Martins Residence 

Project Overview 

The Martins Residence was a residential project for a family known for entertaining. The requirements were that the condo needed to be ADA accessible, inspired by 1920s Art Deco. For this project we had contact a local artist to display one of their pieces in our end design. A key feature and focus of this project was designing an ADA accessible kitchen. seen above is my design. The kitchen featured a dropped seating area to accommodate feature wheelchair use. The sink is 5" deep and is a roll under. The cook top also features front controls and a roll under.  For the furniture all pieces had a seat height within the range of 17-23" for ease of transfer and mobility. The floors selected were slip resistant with low pile rugs placed throughout the unit.
